Anthony Aveni at Griffith Observatory, Jan. 29, 2016

Join us on Saturday, April 9, 2016 from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. for an afternoon of space-themed activities, fun, and the opportunity to see what rocket science is all about! Elementary and middle school students are invited to Griffith Observatory to learn about space, to meet Italian astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti in the Leonard Nimoy Event Horizon Theater, and to talk to young rocket engineers from Virgin Galactic, The SpaceShipCompany, and other area space and tech companies. Kids will also be able to build their very own "Spudnik" potato satellite or straw rockets.
