S. J. Amoroso Construction
For more than 60 years, S.J. Amoroso Construction has created and restored hundreds of buildings throughout California. It was responsible for all the construction at Griffith Observatory as part of the landmark's four-year renovation and expansion project. S.J. Amoroso Construction worked closely with Griffith Observatory's team in an effort to ensure that its vision for the renewal of the Observatory was achieved from the largest elements down to the smallest details.
Founded in 1939 by Salvatore J. Amoroso, the company has been responsible for numerous projects statewide, including Disney's California Adventure in Anaheim, CA; the Tech Museum of Innovation in San Jose, CA; the City Rotunda in Oakland, CA; and Marine World in Vallejo, CA. S. J. Amoroso Construction is proud that its buildings have housed children, senior citizens, gorillas, whales, trains, airplanes, automobiles, criminals, and judges-- just not in the same building! Despite earthquakes, train wrecks, floods, and strikes, S.J. Amoroso Construction has survived and plans always to be a part of people's lives.
